Based in Findlay, Ohio, The Stan Sterner Orchestra has been entertaining folks since 1980. This is a 15 piece band made up of professional musicians from throughout the northwest Ohio region. The band has performed throughout Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. Stan passed away on Oct. 3, 1996, but the band is continuing under the direction of David Sycks and Shannon Ford, lead trumpet and lead alto, respectively.
The 15 pieces include 5 Saxes, 3 Trombones, 3 Trumpets, piano, bass, drums, and female vocalist. The music played is strictly the classic big band repertoire of the late 30's and 40's, and now with some more contemporary hits as well.
