Writing

 Students will use Writers Express as a reference source this year.  Students will explore various types of writing including narratives, informational reports, poetry, novel responses, friendly and business letters, and journal entries.

Journal entries are written during the academic assist period on Monday through Thursday.  Your child's homeroom teacher reads and scores each journal entry.  These scores are entered as part of the language arts grade.  If you have questions concerning your child's journal grades, please contact his/her homeroom teacher.
