the purpose of this page is to inform you of the expectations that are placed upon you this year.  Also included on this page are Bluffton High School's grading scale and my extra credit rules. While you are in my classes you are expected to be on your best behavior.  Remember that  wherever you go you represent yourself, your family, and your school.

Classroom Rules

	Be in assigned seat when the bell rings.
	Bring all required materials to class.
	Follow directions the first time that they are given.
	Use laboratory equipment correctly and only with permission.
	Do not bring food or drink to class.
	Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
	Respect other's property.

Consequences

1. Warning.

2. Wednesday detention.

3.    Removal from the classroom.

Rewards

	Notes and phone calls home.
	Free time at the end of the period.
	Praise, thumbs up, high five...
	Listen to music during lab time.

Grading System

Your grade is based on total points earned divided by the total points possible. Each nine weeks will vary in points and each year will vary in points. Whatever you earn on your assignments will be added together and then divided by the total number of points possible to earn. The result is then multiplied by 100 to determine a percentage. A letter grade is then assigned to your percentage. See the chart below.

Extra credit is offered but not on an individual basis. It is offered as a group assignment. If you do not wish to participate, it will not be counted against you. SUGGESTION: Do all of your assignments well the first time and you won't need extra credit.

D+   72-73

D- 65-66

F   64 AND BELOW
