Intelligence Report:  In Australia is a magical tree that is half willow and half palm and home to the magical sloth (Joe) who takes care of the tree. This tree, when cared for by the sloth, gives Australia its power to defend itself against the Mervans, with whom they are at war with. So they can attack, the people from Mervania, the Mervans, have stolen the magical sloth to take away Australia’s power. The sloth is hidden in a pyramid, and the Australians are undertaking a special covert mission to rescue him and bring him back to Australia.                    

Mission:                             

  Begin in Australia and leave in a Stealth Falcon to a drop off point inside the country Duckville.

  From drop off, troops ride kangaroos to the pyramid where the sloth is hidden.

  From pyramid, after rescuing the sloth, head to the pick up point in Bojanglia where the Stealth Falcon awaits.

  Bring the Sloth safely back to Australia.

 

1.Can the troops make it from the drop off in Duckville to the pyramid, rescue the sloth, and return to the pick up before the plane leaves without them?

2.Does the Stealth Falcon have enough fuel to make it from the drop off point to the pick up point.

 

Flight/Kangaroo Path:

  From Australia to drop off on a bearing of N15W for 1290 miles.

  On kangaroo, go to pyramid on same bearing for 100 miles. Rescuing sloth will take approximately 10 minutes.

  From pyramid goes directly W to pick up point for 300 miles. Are they in time to catch the plane?

  If troops are in time, proceed in plane on a bearing of S45E back to Australia.
