Re: Lessons Reimbursement

Dear Students and Parents:

            Private lessons are an essential part of any students’ musical growth.  Knowing that most lessons cost anywhere from $5.00 to $15.00 per half hour, and in order to encourage more students to take privately, the Music Boosters have decided to take an active role in helping offset the costs of these lessons!  There are, of course, a few details that must be addressed, so here are the rules/regulations for taking part in this extraordinary offer:

            1.  The Boosters will reimburse the parents for half of the cost of a lesson, not to exceed $5.00.  Lessons include anything directly related to a school performing ensemble.  (For example, piano is acceptable if that person is accompanying the choir or playing piano for jazz band)

            2.  If you take more than one music lesson a week (i.e.: violin and voice), the Boosters will only reimburse you for ONE of the lessons.

            3.  If there is more than one student in your family taking music lessons, the Boosters will reimburse the parents for one lesson per child.

            4. The student must take lessons from someone on the Recommended Private Teacher List to be eligible to receive payment.  (If there is someone that you think should be on the list and they are not, see Mr. Sycks to get them on the list)

            5.  At the time of the lesson, pay your teacher the entire amount owed.  Keep a log of your lessons (signed by your private teacher), and when the log sheet is full (every 10 lessons), fill out the log sheet completely and turn it in for payment.  It is recommended that you make a copy of the sheet before submitting it.
