Mr.A's Bio
Most of you will end up calling me Mr.A which is what I am used to. This will be my eighth year teaching seventh grade Science and Health. I've Been teaching at Bluffton for 21 years, and have taught 4th, 5th, and now 7th grade. Prior to Bluffton, I was at Columbus Grove teaching 4th grade and also spent one year in Montana teaching 1st grade on an Indian Reservation. For the last 4 years I've been coaching track for the Pandora-Gilboa high school team where my daughter Rebekah attends.
I grew up in the Bluffton/Pandora area and attended Pandora-Gilboa. GO ROCKETS! I became a teacher at Bluffton College, now Bluffton University, where I Played soccer and decided to marry my wife Jana. She is also a teacher and enjoys running. We have 4 children. Nathan works for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources as a water craft officer. Basically he is a cop on water. Jonathan is a senior at the University of Toledo and is studying Mechanical Engineering. Sarah is a sophomore at Anderson University and is studying elementary education. Reabekah, who is a senior, plays basketball, and runs track. My wife and I enjoy following Bek which keeps us very busy throughout the year.
During the summer our family loves to travel to Michigan to be at our family cottage on Hemlock Lake. We all love the water and enjoy boating, water skiing, and wakeboarding. This summer I was able to travel to the Ukraine on a mission trip for 10 days. An awesome experience and great fun! In my spare time I maintain a small mowing business and coach. I'm looking forward to this year and getting to know all of you!
