College Prep. Math,
Bluffton
High School
College Prep Math was developed through a grant
written by Rodney Null, a math professor at Lima Technical College, Lima Ohio.
The Closing the Mathematics Skills Gap Grant brought teachers from area
schools together in order to develop a senior math course.
This course would help college bound students become better prepared for
the college entrance exams. The
class covers topics from Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and implies real world
problems. Chapter projects will be
included to help incorporate real world uses of math.
The main goal of this class is to have its students avoid retaking lower
level math courses in college, and have a better, mathematics background
entering college.
